A popular way to honor your grad is to create a movie or photo DVD that runs continuously on a TV or computer during your party.
Picking your favorite video clips and/or photos and setting them to music is an excellent way to share memories of your grad from birth to high school. Your guests will have lots of fun watching and commenting on your DVD.
You and your graduate can create a DVD together, using your own computer and DVD burner. Or you can go the professional route and choose an online or local service.
Ask your grad to help pick the photos, video clips and music. The final DVD will make a great keepsake for you and a special gift for your grad.
The following DVD was made on a home computer using Microsoft’s Photo Story software with Sonic DVD Plug-In.
You may be able to download Photo Story for free from Microsoft’s website if you have a genuine version of Windows (click here for details). The Sonic DVD Plug-In is required if you want to burn a DVD to play on your TV and can be purchased from Microsoft’s website for approximately $20. You don’t need the Sonic DVD Plug-In if you want to play your photo story on your computer.
Other DVD creation software can be purchased at your local computer store. Just make sure you check that the software is compatible with your computer before you buy it.
